How to copy styles, nested blocks, and containers to another page in MaxiBlocks

When using WordPress Gutenberg and the MaxiBlocks page builder, you may want to reuse styles, nested blocks, and containers across pages. This saves time and ensures consistency. Here are two methods to achieve this:

Syncing patterns with reusable blocks

To create a consistent, automatically updating pattern across pages:

1. Open the page containing the styles, nested blocks, and containers you want to copy.

2. Select the block or container you want to reuse.

3. In the block settings panel on the right, click on the "More options" (three dots) button and choose "Add to Reusable Blocks".

4. Give your reusable block a name and click "Save". The outline colour changes to purple.

5. Open the page where you want to use the reusable/copied pattern.

6. Click on the "+" (Add Block) button and search for the name you gave it in the block library.

Or use the block inserter top left > patterns > my patterns.

7. Find the reusable block you created and click on it to insert it into your page.

The reusable block, along with its styles, nested blocks, and containers, will be added to your page. Any future changes made to the original reusable block will automatically sync across all instances where it is used.

Unsyncing patterns for unique customization:

If you want to create a unique variation of the same pattern for a specific page without affecting other instances, unsyncing (detach) the pattern is the best approach. Here's how you can do it:

1. Open the page where you have inserted the reusable block.

2. Click on the reusable block to select it.

3. Open the "document view" - top left (3 horizontal stripes icon). Click the 3 dots and then "Detach".

4. The reusable block will be converted to the original MaxiBlocks, and it will no longer be synced with the original pattern.

5. Customize the block, including styles, nested blocks, and containers, to suit your specific requirements for that page.

By converting the reusable block to a regular block, you create a standalone copy of the pattern that can be modified independently without impacting other pages where the original reusable block is used.

Choosing the right approach:

When deciding between syncing and unsyncing patterns, consider your specific needs:

- If you want to maintain consistency across multiple pages and automatically update the pattern whenever changes are made, syncing patterns using reusable blocks is the ideal choice.

- If you need to create unique variations of a pattern for specific pages without affecting other instances, unsyncing patterns by converting reusable blocks to regular blocks is the way to go.

By understanding these two approaches, you can efficiently manage and reuse styles, nested blocks, and containers in WordPress Gutenberg with MaxiBlocks page builder, saving time and maintaining design consistency.
